in South America; meeting and transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the

Day 3: Buenos Aires
Built in the 19th century, this city rivals the architecture and
sophistication of Paris. Morning tour begins at the Plaza de Mayo,
continuing to Casa Rosada, the president's residence and Avenida 9 de
Julio, the world's widest boulevard. On to the Italian Boca District,
the Cathedral and the Tomb of General Jose de San Martin. A special
visit has been arranged to see the interior of Teatro Colon Opera House,
its design inspired by the exquisite Opera Garnier in Paris. Tonight,
enjoy the "Buenos Aires by Night" tour, followed by dinner and
a sensational Tango Show.
Day 4: Buenos Aires
Day at leisure. Visit the San Telmo Antique Market (Sundays only), or
take a full-day optional tour to an Argentine ranch
("estancia") to enjoy a Gaucho-Style Barbecue Lunch featuring
traditional folklore and dance.
Day 5: Buenos Aires / Iguassu

This morning we tour the Argentine side of the Falls. Iguassu Falls
consists of over 275 separate cataracts across a span of two and
one-half miles, wider than Victoria, higher than Niagara and more
beautiful than both. Our tour includes the Devil's Throat Fall- the most
impressive of them all! Rest of the day at leisure to explore on your
own or participate in an optional tour.
Day 7: Iguassu Falls / Rio de
Janeiro
After breakfast, cross over to the Brazilian side of the falls
for a
fabulous scenic walk. The locals say "Argentina got the water -
while Brazil won the views." Afterwards, transfer to the airport
for the flight to Rio de Janeiro, the pulsating "sun, fun and
samba" capital of South America; transfer to your hotel.
Day 8: Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast, Late morning, a cable car takes you to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain
for a panoramic

tour, including dinner at a traditional Churrascaria (barbecue)
Restaurant, followed by an exciting Brazilian Samba Show.
Day 9: Rio de Janeiro

Mountain; ascend by train to the summit. Here, at 2,400 feet above the
city stands one of South America's most famous landmarks, the 125-foot
statue of "Christ the Redeemer." The panorama of the city
below is testament to why most travelers consider Rio to be one of the
most spectacular cities in the world.
