Day 1
Depart USA
Overnight flight to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Day 2
Arrive Rio
de Janeiro (3nights) On arrival in Rio de Janeiro,
one of the worlds most exciting cities, you're met and
taken to your hotel. In the afternoon, the highlight of
our day is a visit to the Corcovado, the humpbacked
mountain upon which stands the famous statue of Christ
the Redeemer. En route we drive past Rio's beautiful
residential beaches and see Rodrigo de freitas Lagoon
with its luxury condos, and finally to the traditional
Cosme Velho section with its historic
turn-of-the-century mansions. Here we take a cogwheel
train to the famous 122 foot high statue of Christ the
Redeemer, with his outstretched arms embracing all above
the spectacular views of the city at his feet. Time to
enjoy the breathtaking panorama before an exciting
descent. This evening, why not check out one of the many
restaurants - remember you're in Rio, known for its
nightlife?
Day 3
Rio de
Janeiro sightseeing After breakfast we enjoy a half
day guided sightseeing tour* featuring the main sight of
this city. Then, the highlight of our day is a
breathtaking ride by cable car to the summit of 1,300
foot Sugar Loaf Mountain* . Here enjoy views of the city
including the Corcovado to Guanabara Bay and Niteroi
Bridge. After we descend, we drive along the Leblon and
famous Ipanema beaches before stopping at one of the
oldest cafes in Rio, the Art Deco Cafe' Confeitaria
Colombo for an included lunch. Then the rest of your day
is at leisure to relax or perhaps explore. Remember,
every night is carnival night in Rio, so let your hair
down later this evening and enjoy! (Buffet breakfast/
Lunch)
* Note: Due to
possible changes in airline schedules, Rio sightseeing
may take place on day 4.
Day 4
Rio de
Janeiro at leisure Enjoy a full day at leisure. Rio
is fabulous city with much to offer. Perhaps visit the
colorful Saara, an enormous street bazaar in downtown
Rio, for souvenir bargains in silver jewelry, leather
goods or lacework. For culture vulture there are museums
and art galleries galore, or you can take a samba lesson
at one of the samba schools! The choice is all yours!
Tonight, why not join your traveling companions for a
farewell dinner at one of the vibrant restaurants?

Day 5
Rio de
Janeiro - Iguassu Falls (2nights) Today we transfer
to the airport for our flight to Iguassu. Upon arrival
we are transferred to our hotel which overlooks the the
famous Iguassu Falls. After check-in we'll have a
walking tour with a local guide along the Brazilian side
of these magnificent natural waterfalls, which are
bigger and even more breathtaking than Niagara Falls!
Cameras at ready for this is truly one of the natural
wonders on the world with its constant roar and
showering spray making it a memorable experience not to
be missed at any cost! There is also a chance to take an
amazing optional helicopter trip for a bird's eye view
over the very mouth on these most spectacular falls.

Day 6
Igaussu
Falls - Iguassu National Park Excursion This morning
we board our coach for a drive to the Argentine side of
the famous falls. From here we continue by coach to the
Iguassu National Park where we enjoy a guided walking
tour of this natural wonderland teeming with animals,
birds and other wildlife. After we return to our hotel,
the afternoon is at leisure. This evening, we enjoy
barbecue dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7
Igaussu
Falls - Sao Paulo We transfer to the airport for our
flight to Sao Paulo, the worlds fourth biggest city.
Before reaching our hotel, we enjoy an orientation tour
showing us the Patio do Colegio, the Basilica Nossa
Senhora de Assuncao, the martinelli and Edificio Italia
Buildings.

Day 8
Sao Paulo
- Manaus - Guanavenas Pousada Jungle Lodge (3nights)
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our
flight to Manaus. On our arrival we transfer by coach
and boat to the Guanavenas Lodge* in its incredible
tropical setting in the heart of the Amazon Jungle, with
the facilities and comfort of a first class hotel. When
we reach the lodge we will enjoy a welcome drink before
time to relax and freshen up for dinner this evening.

* Important:
Passengers are informed that a maximum of 5 kg of hand
luggage only can be taken to the Guanavenas Pousada
Jungle Lodge on Day 8 therefore only the items needed
for your three-night stay should be packed. Your main
luggage will be safely stored in Manaus.
Day 9
Days 9
& 10 Guanavenas Lodge Enjoy two fantastic days
walking up to the sounds of another world, unchanged for
centuries. Activities at the lodge include ecological
tours such as Alligator night spotting, 'piranha
fishing' forest hiking, and by boat deep into the Amazon
Jungle to visit igarapes (narrow creeks) and igapos
(flooded forest) with their abundance of flora and
fauna, including the distinctive sounds of the Howler
Monkey, and calls of toucans, parrots and other native
birds and wildlife. Have your cameras and binoculars
ready! There is time to also relax in the pools, enjoy
some sports, or simply stroll around the lodge. This is
truly an experience to be served at the lodge nightly.

10

Guanavenas Pousada Jungle Lodge - Manaus
An early breakfast before our final excursion. After
lunch, we transfer back to Manaus by boat and then on by
coach. We check-in at the hotel, then time to relax or
perhaps visit the Indian Museum or see the famous Opera
House and Zoo. This evening, why not celebrate the final
night of this fabulous tour and enjoy a farewell dinner
with your fellow traveling companions at one of the many
restaurants near the hotel?

Day 12
Manaus -
Sao Paulo - USA Today bid 'adeus' as we transfer to
Manaus airport for our return flight to America via Sao
Paulo on Thursday. (Travel Agents please book the
Thursday flight out of Manaus) (Buffet

Arrive
Miami Your flight arrives back in Miami on Friday
morning.
