Itinerario.-
Day 1: Rio de
Janeiro
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast, Late morning, a cable car takes you to the top of
Sugar Loaf Mountain for a panoramic view of the beaches and
Guanabara Bay. Tonight, a feast for the senses-experience some of Rio's
highlife on a "Rio by Night" tour, including dinner at a
traditional Churrascaria (barbecue) Restaurant, followed by an
exciting Brazilian Samba Show.
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro
Drive through the fashionable Barra District to the base of
Corcovado Mountain; ascend by train to the summit. Here, at
2,400 feet above the city stands one of South America's most famous
landmarks, the 125-foot statue of "Christ the Redeemer." The
panorama of the city below is testament to why most travelers consider
Rio to be one of the most spectacular cities in the world.
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro / Buenos Aires
After breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the plane to Buenos
Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires, considered
the most cosmopolitan city in South America; meeting and transfer to
your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 5: Buenos Aires
Built in the 19th century, this city rivals the architecture and
sophistication of Paris. Morning tour begins at the Plaza
de Mayo, continuing to Casa Rosada, the president's residence and
Avenida 9 de Julio, the world's widest boulevard. On to the Italian Boca
District, the Cathedral and the Tomb of General Jose de San Martin. A
special visit has been arranged to see the interior of Teatro Colon
Opera House, its design inspired by the exquisite Opera Garnier in
Paris. Tonight, enjoy the "Buenos Aires by Night" tour,
followed by dinner and a sensational Tango Show.
Day 6: Buenos Aires
Day at leisure. Visit the San Telmo Antique Market (Sundays only), or
take a full-day optional tour to an Argentine ranch
("estancia") to enjoy a Gaucho-Style Barbecue Lunch featuring
traditional folklore and dance.
Day 7: Buenos
Aires / USA
Breakfast. Transfer to the hotel to take plane back to USA. End of
services.
