ITINERARY:
Day 1,
USA - BUENOS AIRES.-
Take the overnight flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina
Day 2,
BUENOS AIRES.-
Arrival in Buenos Aires and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure
to visit the city by your own, or make some shopping. Overnight
Day 3, BUENOS AIRES.-
Breakfast. Afternoon city tour of Buenos Aires. Three hour
guided tour of this magnificent city reminiscent of many European
capitals with its narrow streets and tree-lined boulevards, turn of the
century architecture, sidewalk cafes and elegant window shops. Your
visit begins on busy Avenue 9 de Julio, the impressive Colon Theatre and
famous Obelisk, symbol of the city. Continue to Government district and
Legislative Palace dating to early 20th century. Then to historic Plaza
de Mayo and beautiful "Casa Rosada", the Presidential home.
Nearby is the Cathedral where the remains of Argentina's greatest
national hero the liberator General San Martin lie. Then to the colorful
Boca district and funky out-door art museum. Ring along port of Buenos
Aires on route to magnificent homes of Palermo and elegant shops and
exciting nightlife of Recoleta. Evening tango show with Dinner. At night,
you will assist to an unforgettable tango show performed by the best
dancers and singers, while enjoying a delicious meal, at Esquina Carlos
Gardel. This world famous tango show shows the glamour of the 30's, in a
romantic and intimate setting. This is the perfect way to leave Buenos
Aires, the city of tango. Three-course dinner and Argentinean wine
included. Overnight

4, BUENOS AIRES.-
Breakfast. Rest of the day free to shop and explore
on your own, or enjoy an optional tour: we recommend to take the Full
Day " Fiesta Gaucha with Lunch " (Full day
excursion to an estancia for a typical barbeque lunch and a
folklore/gaucho show. Here we will learn about the customs of the
Argentinean gauchos, and his abilities on the horse that will leave you
breathless. The meat will be cooked "a lo gaucho" outdoors on
the barbeque. Lunch and drinks included. Overnight
Day 5, BUENOS AIRES-BARILOCHE. Fly southwest into the heart of
the Andean Mountains to the Tyrolean village of Bariloche. Early this evening acquaint yourself with the
downtown area and its picturesque town square -- perhaps visit a
chocolate supermarket! Tonight dine at one of the many fine Swiss,
German, or Austrian restaurants. Overnight.
Day 6, BARILOCHE. After breakfast, This tour takes the visitor
along 60 kms of some of the most attractive scenery in Argentina. It
visits the town of Bariloche, Llao Llao peninsula between Lago Moreno
and Nahuel Huapi, the beautiful Lopez Bay with views of Catedral, Lopez
and Otto mountains. A visit to Cerro Campanario with chairlift gives you
one of the most spectacular views of the area. Overnight.
Day 7,
BARILOCHE-PEULLA. Travel through rugged wilderness via boat
and motorcoach. Pristine lakes, towering forests, and snow-capped peaks
make this an unforgettable day. Cross into Chile and spend the night in
the quaint village of Peulla. Overnight.
Day 8, PEULLA-PUERTO VARAS. Continue through the Andean Mountains
and board a launch for breathtaking scenery in Chile's Lake District.
Reboard the coach and stop at PETROHUE FALLS where green water gushes
through a series of twisted chutes of black volcanic rock. Next,
panoramic views of 8,900-foot Osorno Volcano, a perfectly shaped cone
that dominates the countryside. Overnight.
Day 9, PUERTO VARAS-PUERTO MONTT-SANTIAGO. Your morning
orientation tour takes you to the nearby fishing port of Puerto Montt --
a charming town with a bustling waterfront. Then transfer to the airport
for the short flight to Santiago. Located between the Pacific and the
Andes, Chile's capital has a surprisingly European flavor. Arrival in
Santiago and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight.
Day 10,
BUENOS AIRES / SANTIAGO
After breakfast, your Guide traces the city's history and heritage. This
city tour begins at La Moneda, the official Government
Palace, and nearby SAN CRISTOBAL HILL with its landmark statue of the
Virgin Mary. Your tour ends at the Plaza de Armas, the main square, with
a visit to the 18thcentury CATHEDRAL. This afternoon offers an optional
excursion to the Undurraga Winery, one of the oldest in Chile, where you
will learn how some of South America's wines are produced. This evening,
you may opt to join a Chilean Folkloric Dinner Show. Overnight.
DAY 11, SANTIAGO
Breakfast. Today You will take advantage of an excursion to the
beautiful coastal region west of Santiago. Drive through the undulating
hills of Chile's wine country to the historic port of Valparaiso,
and continue along the coast to nearby Viņa del Mar. This
chic seaside resort with palm tree-lined avenues and lovely villas truly
deserves the sobriquet "Pearl of the Pacific." We'll stop in a
local restaurant for lunch. (lunch is not included). Return to Santiago.
Overnight.
DAY 12, SANTIAGO / USA
Breakfast and transfer to the airport to get back to USA.
