ITINERARY
2003 1 day - Rome - Siena -
Florence
Departure at 08:00 from hotel Metropole, Via Principe Arnedeo, 3 by
deluxe motorcoach to Siena. Free time at leisure to visit this interesting town, it's
medieval centre: the well known Piazza del Campo and the cathedral. In the afternoon
continue to Florence. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
2 day - Florence - Pisa - Fiorence
Morning sightseeing tour of Florence including the Duomo
and the Baptistery with the golden doors of Ghiberti, Giotto's Bell Tower, Town hall
Square (Piazza della Signoria). Afternoon departure to Pisa the historic and old
university town situated on the Arno River. Visit of Piazza dei Miracoli, the exterior of
the leaning Tower (on restoration), the cathedral, and baptistery. Back to Fiorence.
Dinner and overnight.
3 day - Florence - Padua - Venice
Breakfast, free time to spend in the centre of the
birthplace of the Renaissance and modern italian language. Early afternoon depart for
Padua, visit Basilica S. Anthony; continue to Venice. Dinner and overnight stay at the
hotel.
4 day - Venice
Breakfast. Morning panoramic city tour of Venice: Doge
Palace, the greatest civil building in the city, as it was once the seat of Doge and his
magistrative council, the Bridge of sighs that links the Palace to the ancient prisons.The
tour continues visiting St. Mark Square begun during the 9th century, the cathedral is a
composit of many styles and periods: Byzantinie, Rornanesque, Ghotic and Renaissance.
Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
5 day - Venice - Verona - Garda Lake - Milan
Breakfast and departure to Verona. Stop to visit the
exterior of the Roman Arena (this 1900 years old theatre is still used today for opera and
Ballet performances) and Juliet's house. Proceeding with short visit of Garda Lake and
continuo to Milan, the largest industrial, commercial and banking centre in ltaiy. Dinner
and overnight stay at the hotel.
