DAY ATHENS CITY TOUR
|
Today’s
morning sightseeing tour includes the
Acropolis, the Parthenon and the
Acropolis museum. We will also see the
Royal Palace, the Parliament,
Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Zeus and
the Stadium where the first Olympic
Games, (new Era-1896), took place..

Depart
Athens in the afternoon for a drive
along the coastal road, passing through
some of the most beautiful suburbs of
Athens,(Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza),
to Cape Sounion. We will visit the
Temple of Poseidon with one of the most
breathtaking views in the world. We
return to the hotel in Athens, early in
the evening.

stop) and Arachova for Delphi. Pass by
Castalia Springs, we visit the
archaeological site, the Sanctuary of

Athens in the morning driving to Corinth.
We see the Corinthian Canal and we
continue to Mycenae. We visit the Lion’s
Gate, the Royal Palace and the tomb of
Agamemnon. After lunch we visit the
picturesque city of Nauplion, the first
capital of Greece and the Theater of
Epidaurus, famous for its acoustics. We
return to the hotel in Athens, early in
the evening.

In the
morning you will be transferred to the
harbor to embark on the ship. Visit
Aegina with the temple of Aphea, the
picturesque Poros and Hydra famous for
its architecture. Lunch is served on
board. We return, to the hotel in
Athens, early in the evening.

Delphi / Kalambaka. Depart Athens
through Thebes, Levadia, (short stop) and

the famous bronze Charioteer. After lunch
we depart through Central Greece and the
cities of Lamia and Trikala to Kalambaka,
a small town built at the foot of the
majestic rocks and crowned by the Meteora
monasteries. Dinner and overnight in
Kalambaka.

morning we drive to Meteora to visit the
cliff top Byzantine Monasteries, (one of
the most amazing places in the world) and
enjoy the breathtaking view. We return to
the hotel in Athens, early in the evening,
passing by the heroic monument of Leonidas
at Thermopylae.
