OPTIONAL TOURS

QTTR1201 City Tour This tour will help us to understand the life styles that this city encompasses with its constant growth, their neighbourhoods and manufacturing zones. The museum called "The End of the World" allows us to to view retrospectively the development of the island. We will also visit the Civic Center and the commercial zone. Afterwards we will travel 7 km to the north of the city, to the chairlift where we can have a panoramic view of the city of Ushuaia, and we will have the possibility of ascending to the foot of Martial Glacier made of permanent ice and extraordinary beauty.

QTTR 1202 National Park of Tierra del Fuego We will leave from Ushuaia, going 20 km toward the west, taking the National Route 3. Then we go to the ranches and cottages of Pipo River. We will enter the National Park of 63,000 hectares passing by Ensenada Bay, Redonda Island, Camadon of the Bull, Alakush Tavern, Roca Lake, Beaver Dam, and Lapataia Bay that extends itself to the end of National route 3 to 3,242 km from the Federal Capital. We will return to the hotel.

QTTR 1203 Escondido and Fagnano Lakes We will leave from Ushuaia toward the north east by National Route 3 and go close to 100 km crossing the Olivia River, 5 Brothers and the Olivia Mountains, Carabajal Valley, Tierra Mayor and Las Cotorras. Then we will arrive at the highest point of the island on Garibaldi Pass, 450 meters above sea level. From that point we can observe a panoramic view of the Petrel Tavern and Fagnano Lake. We will continue crossing the lumber and forested zone, sail on Fagnano Lake and arrive at the Kalken Tavern. Then we will return to the hotel.

QTTR 1204 Sailing on the Beagle We will leave from Ushuaia taking a catamaran that will have to sail through Ushuaia Bay and we can observe from the sea the southern most city in the world, Olivia Mountain, the Fique Ranch, and Escarpado Mountain, among other things. At the light house Les Eclaireurs we will turn at this point and head west toward Ushuaia and appreciate several isolated islands. Among them the Island of the Wolves and the Birds, where we can stop to admire the colonies of sea lions and the different types of birds, such as the cormoranes that live together in such harmony. We will continue through the islands until we come to a small passage way. Here we will return to Ushuaia Bay to our place of departure.
